Physician Refresher Course

The Drexel University College of Medicine Physician Refresher/Re-Entry Course was recently mentioned in an article in the February 2011 issue of ACP Internist , and featured in the American Medical News article "AMA seeks clear path for doctors' re-entry into medicine."

Drexel University College of Medicine offers an innovative program for physicians wishing to return to active clinical practice, change their subspecialty, or prepare for admission to U.S. graduate medical education training programs.

Drexel Medicine® Physician Refresher/Re-Entry Course utilizes the College's excellence in medical education and instructional technology resources. The program includes on-site and distance-learning modules, which may be taken in sequence or independently.

In addition to a high-caliber clinical experience, these innovative curricular strategies allow physicians around the world access to resources designed to enhance their professional and clinical skills. During the six-week preceptorship, participants will build a portfolio of accomplishments which would include activities completed during the preceptorship, a certificate of completion, a transcript and assessment outcomes.

If you are:

  • A physician who wishes to return to active clinical medicine after an extended leave
  • A physician who wishes to change your specialty focus and need a primary medical update
  • An international medical graduate who wishes to be accepted into a U.S. graduate medical education training program
  • A physician who wishes to enhance your clinical skills

this progam may be right for you.
